30 June and 1 July, a weekend with AGO

After the great day on the Dutch TT (see item TT Assen) I rappidly went home, to prepare the car again for my ride to Francorchamp "Bikers Classics", where I have an appointment with my idol "AGO, MINO," "Il Magnifico", indeed Giacomo Agostini.
Due heavy traffic we where a bit to late, AGO, Ubaldo Elly and the complete Mv-Agusta crew were busy doing all kind of stuff (AGO for example had to push his Agusta, a great moment!) |

I recognised myself a little bit in this when we ride with "The Classic Motorcycle demo team" on a circuit.
We "look" also as if we are busy with everything, starting the engines with a lot of noise, looking concentrated at the the circuit as if we are proffesional riders, some have large handkerchiefs in front of the mouth, probably because they are afraid that upperlip comes in front of the eyes .....everything is a bit for the show, but that makes it a great day.
But i was happy to see that these "old boys" also stil are a bith rebellious, starting with full throttle just like in former days, enjoying the sound and enjoying that the public couldn't get enough.

At some point Ago examined his MV, there is something wrong, and if it was mentioned to be I saw what the problem was, the front brake was overheated, the entire crew overlooked this and Ago looked at me gratefully and said; "Multo gracie Henke".
Yes indeed "Henke", like only an italian can pronounce my name, Henke :)
It was also pleasant to see an old vital man like Ubaldo Elly doing yoga exercises before he take place on his bike.....i don't know if he watched Valentino Rossi or the other way around.
It all felt very familiar, if i was with old friends, talking and discussing abouth our common passions and mostley abouth Ago and his rides with the MV-Agusta.

The complete wekend in Spa Franchorchamp we hanged around with AGO and MV the Agusta crew and AGO signed all the litho's in the presence of the international photograph press.
It was a weekend i never forget and it felt also as the real beginning of a beautiful cooperation.
AGO and I have discussed abouth a next meeting, only not yet where and when, but we surely wil meet eachother again!
